Screenwriter
Doro Nguyen is a screenwriter, sketch comedy writer, and comedic actor.
Her first pilot, Disoriented, was co-written with her friend, Arya Govil. It advanced to Second Round in the Comedy Teleplay Pilot category for Austin Film Festival in 2018.
Her 30-min comedy pilot, Illegal, was a Top Three Television Diversity Category Finalist in the 2019 Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest and a Top Ten 30-min Teleplay Finalist for the Cinequest Screenwriting Competition.
Her 1-hr drama pilot, Nice Restaurant, made Top 25 in the Save The Cat Screenplay Competition and is the Winner of the ScreenCraft Drama Competition 2022.
Her Short Screenplay, Pistachio, was a Winner in the WeScreenplay Shorts Competition 2023.
Doro’s first language is Cantonese. She is first-generation half Chinese/half Vietnamese and a byproduct of a green card marriage.
